Pros: interesting.
Cons: clothes not that cute.. BIG CON. The shoes were consistently good though !
Differences from the book: - Tarquin is Suze's cousin in the book, not her boyfriend !! >:( - Luke was not the editor of the magazine, he was the owner of Brandon Communications and was a top notch mouthpiece. - Rebecca always worked at the magazine - she had no aspirations of working at the fashion mag, really she was happy just to have scammed her way into being a journalist. - Rebecca's big break was when she wrote a piece about her neighbours being scammed out of proceeds of a takeover/merger, she then went on Morning Coffee and became a TV presenter on finances. In the movie, she went on Morning Coffee to promote her column (she never had one in the book) and was subsequently embarrassed majorly. - There was no Miami conference. There were also no Scandinavian men - Rebecca's lack of Finnish was uncovered during a job interview and she was mocked via letter later on. - Alicia worked at Brandon Communications - she was another mouth piece and hated on Rebecca. - Luke had a French GF that was a very famous socialite. Rebecca and Luke bonded over luggage shopping. - Luke gives Rebecca 20$ to buy a Denny and George scarf for her great aunt when she was making a disturbance during a PR thing. - Rebecca's parents never bought an RV, or discussed their life savings - this seems like a very Americanized insertion. - Rebecca never went to shopaholics anonymous, so all those things related to that (the dress selling, the sales) never happened !
Besides all this - I still enjoyed the movie ! It is kind of embarrassing how much it seems like an autobiography.

Softly love and to love softly. Dew on the sycamore branch. By the creaking gate where my heart hurries afterwards through the path of wheat along the briar, to that stone, under which I lie

I am so excited for the AG to bring a Canadian polygamy reference that it almost sickens me. Strike that.. it DOES sicken me.
Why does my heart yearn so much for constitutional law?
And let's not even get into the excitement of recent in other places.. the Bain exoneration, the pregnant teen detained to give statements, the Tory headquarter raid, the GOLD that is the FLDS church (omg omg so many grounds of sketchy).. I just can't get enough of it.
The worse is how I spend hours reading about serial killers and famous kidnappings.
Does this mark a farewell to my corporate aspirations ? Well.. it certainly is more interesting (not even tax can make my heart flutter so).

Last week, I had a very bad cold coupled with an allergic reaction incident which involved me not so gracefully exiting during the middle of a night class.
This week, I have an ear infection coupled with barf inducing medicine. Barf will come out in reverse order of how the food was eaten, kind of amusing really although having the taste of it linger on and on is not.
And this is why I am still awake, tetchy and drinking Gatorade at 2 am on a Friday night/Saturday morning. Really, this process would just be a lot better if someone came and ran me over.
